Employee of the Month was an okay movie. Dan Cook was at times funny, but Jessica Simpson was not exactly the best actress. The plot of the movie seemed a bit bland, but there were some good moments in the movie.

MCT:September 29, 2008Taking from other, better movies such as Napolean Dynamite and Anchorman, this film is hardly original, and could quite possibly be called a remake. Its time at nearly two hours is atrocious and painful. After 30 minutes you know how the entire movie ends, after an hour you start thinking about different methods of hideous torture with a wistfulness, and after an hour and a half of watching this movie you have become one of the strongest people on the planet. But the most serious offense that it commits is the wooden, terrifyingly horrible acting by all of the cast.

Also the plot of this movie was just stupid, as well as not funny. Unless you have a hard on for Dane Cook avoid this trash.

Dane Cook, Jessica Simpson, and Dax Shepard star in the most funniest, heart-warming films of the century. Dane Cook stars as a normal box-boy worker with 3 friends and his medieval rival at Cashier Stand #1, played by Dax Shepard, but, heads roll when a new cashier, played by Jessica Simpson, transfers to the Super Club supermarket, and appears to have some romantic issues for the Employee of The Month. Now, Dane Cook starts working hard with extra effort, but, has to beat his opponent, Dax Shepard in this outrageous comedy to see who will win Jessica Simpson's heart. This movie is HILARIOUS! Dax Shepard and Efren Ramirez are screamingly hilarious, and Dane Cook, Andy Dick, Brian George, and Harland Williams are screamingly funny!

Clocking in at an ungodly two hours, Employee of the Month drags on for far too long with the premise that would fit on a 30 minute sitcom. Not only does it drag, its painfully unfunny and is filled with an atrocious cast who are all phoning it in. A horrid disaster that will make you want to kill yourself with the way it trudges along with no discernible purpose other than to waste your time.

Dane Cook is always hilarious but in this movie I wouldn't stop laughing... some of the people in the theture left I was being so damn annoying. Jessica Simpson was really great in the movie too. All the acting was memorable and I recommend seeing this movie several times

Extremely average comedy, which just about works in the background if there's really nothing else on. It's really not as offensively bad as some similar films, but the comedy is pretty weak, and except for Dane Cook, all of the actors suck and aren't funny at all. The plot could have been kind of fun and there are a few good moments, but otherwise, you've not much reason to watch this...

Mediocre performances, and a few laughs...nothing to get excited about...Dane was funny in a 'simple' kinda way, Jessica was there because...well...because she was there and Dax...well, let's just say...it's not his best work...actually, it's...not anywhere close to being as funny as he usually is... ;/, yikes... o.o.' -

Surprisingly not horrible. Actually kind of funny. Especially if you've ever worked in retail. The sidekicks make the movie. Check out a hilarious yet rather subdued performance from Andy Dick. Well, by Andy Dick's standards anyway.

A good movie that plays like Waiting..., it speaks to people who have been there or who are there. Everyone else will probably get it as well.
Dane Cook, does a decent job, but I enjoyed Dax Shepard a lot more. Also Andy Dick was hilarious! He was gold every time he was on screen. Jessica Simpson didn't do toerrible of a job and actually has some talent when it comes to acting.
The story is cool and captures what real people are like even though it's not a laugh a minute comedy it still has some great stuff, especially the relationship between Shepard and Ramirez's characters.
So I recommend you watch or buy this movie. Whichever aisle you can find it in. -

I had very low expectations about this movie, and the story line and acting fell below those low expectations. Not sure what I was thinking. Dane Cook is fun, but Jessica Simpson was simply an animated Barbie doll with a bigger chest.

this movie is good, but it's just like a movie in somewhere like costco's the whole time which makes you feel kinda stupid watching it. doesn't really change your emotions

Saw it on the airplane. Hate to say it, but it was funny. I hate to say this because Dane Cook is a faggot. Anyways, the majority of the laughs revolve around testicle jokes. Funny, but not great.
